Introduction to the Prevent Duty

At SNIPEF Training Services Ltd (STS), we are committed to supporting the welfare and safety of everyone involved in the Modern Apprenticeship in Plumbing and Heating in Scotland. As part of our safeguarding responsibilities, we actively uphold the Prevent Duty, a key component of the UK Government’s Counter Terrorism and Security Act 2015.

The Prevent Duty aims to protect individuals from the risk of radicalisation and extremism by fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. It applies to all apprentices, employers, staff, and stakeholders, ensuring that everyone understands the importance of preventing harm and promoting community cohesion.

Our goal is to equip apprentices and employers with the knowledge and tools to identify and respond to risks while building resilience against radicalisation. Together, we can uphold a workplace culture that values diversity, encourages dialogue, and promotes mutual respect.
