Approved Certifier of Construction Scheme (ACCs)
This scheme allows individuals to ‘self-certify’ certain categories of work relating to drainage, plumbing and heating work which is subject to a Building Warrant. This includes above and below ground drainage, gas, oil and renewables.
Water Byelaws
Water Byelaws and Water Regulations are enforced by Scottish Water and Northern Ireland Water. The main aim of Water Byelaws/Regulations is to prevent contamination of the public water supply and to ensure the quality of drinking water is to the highest standard. Firms wishing to become WaterSafe members require to have one in every 5 of their plumbing operatives holding a water byelaws/ regulations qualification.
