ACCS – how to apply
SNIPEF is the Scheme Provider for the Certification of Construction (Drainage, Heating and Plumbing) Scheme and is able to register both Approved Bodies and Approved Certifiers of Construction.
Approved Bodies
To become an Approved Body, a business must either be a member of SNIPEF or meet the criteria for non-member eligibility.
To become an Approved Certifier, an individual must:
- Be directly employed by an Approved Body
- Hold at least Advanced or Technician Plumber qualifications
- Possess the appropriate qualifications for the work they intend to self-certify
- Hold a Water Byelaws/Regulations qualification
- Complete and pass a one-day Building Standards course
