ACCS – how to apply

SNIPEF is the Scheme Provider for the Certification of Construction (Drainage, Heating and Plumbing) Scheme and is able to register both Approved Bodies and Approved Certifiers of Construction.

Approved Bodies

To become an Approved Body, a business must be a member of SNIPEF or meet the criteria of membership.

• If you’re a SNIPEF member, you can download the Approved Body application form. Approved Body application form
• If you’re not a SNIPEF member, you can download the Approved Body application form for non-members.

Approved Certifiers

To become an Approved Certifier an individual must:

• be directly employed by an Approved Body
• be qualified to at least Advanced or Technician Plumber
• hold appropriate qualifications for the scope of work which they wish to self-certify
• hold a Water Byelaws/Regulations qualification
• attend and successfully pass a one-day Building Standards course.
