The Scottish Government have opened a consultation on the new build heat standard planned to be introduced in April 2024. This standard is aimed at reducing carbon emissions from the Scottish building stock which currently creates 20% of Scottish carbon emissions.

Becoming a member of the Approved Certifier of Construction Scheme allows certifiers to self certify work (subject to a building warrant) without the need for Building Control to carry out an inspection.
