Water Byelaws are created and enforced by Scottish Water. The main aim of Water Byelaws is to ensure the quality of drinking water is to the highest standard and to prevent contamination of the public water supply.
Water Byelaws apply to ALL plumbing systems, water fittings and appliances connected to the public water supply in Scotland.
You need to have one in five of your operatives to have their water byelaws to become a licensed business under the Plumbing Industry Licensing Scheme.
Once you are a licensed business you can be listed on the WaterSafe website free of charge.
WaterSafe is a dedicated online search facility to help customers find the nearest qualified plumbing and heating professionals in their area.
