SNIPEF TechTalks are free events bringing together plumbing and heating employers, industry experts and suppliers for practical advice, technical updates and networking opportunities.
Throughout 2026, our TechTalks programme explored key industry topics, including building regulations and compliance updates. We held in-person events in Kilmarnock, Perth, Aberdeen and Falkirk, alongside an online session for Northern Ireland. These events gave attendees the opportunity to hear from industry experts, ask questions and connect with others in the sector.

What are TechTalks?
SNIPEF TechTalks are free early-morning sessions for plumbing and heating professionals, providing practical insight, industry updates, and the opportunity to connect with peers over breakfast. Each event features six short presentations, each followed by Q&A, giving you strategies and advice you can apply in your business immediately.
Do I need to be a SNIPEF member to attend?
No, the event is free and open to all plumbing and heating professionals. SNIPEF members and non-members are welcome to come along.
Is there a cost to attend?
No – TechTalks are completely free, and a complimentary breakfast roll is provided. Enjoy a morning of learning and networking at no cost.
Do I need to register in advance?
Yes. Registering ensures your place and helps us manage catering and seating. Spots are sometimes limited, so early registration is recommended.
How long is a TechTalk?
Each event includes two sessions with a coffee break. Talks last 10–15 minutes, with 5 minutes for Q&A. The full morning is typically from 8 am to 11 am, but attendees can choose to attend just part of the session while still benefiting from the presentations and networking opportunities.
