Update on Apprentice Funding

Last month we reported that SNIPEF had raised concerns with the government about the freeze on apprenticeship funding for the 2022/23 intake year and the possible shortage of funded spaces for the 2023/24 year.
Following negotiations with Skills Development Scotland, we are delighted to announce that funding has been secured for the 2022/23 intake year. SNIPEF will continue to liaise with the government on the value and importance of financing apprenticeships for the 2023/24 intake year.
Funding of apprenticeships supports the skills development of our industry, the government's net zero ambitions, and provides individuals with the skills to undertake safety-critical work in people's homes.
