Scottish Water Requests Statement

January 11, 2021

Scottish Water issued a statement on 8 January 2021, regarding the cold weather and high level of bursts. Read it below.

“As you will be aware we have been experiencing a prolonged period of very cold weather, snow and subsequent thawing and freezing. This has led to Scottish Water experiencing a higher than normal level of bursts on our network. The weather forecast for early next week would suggest more of the same and as a result we would request that if it is possible you look to delay any non-priority connection or tie-in requests in the short term while we are going through this period.

All requests will continue to be processed as normal however our team will be asking if there is any flexibility on submitted dates due to this ongoing scenario.

We appreciate your support in this matter.

Many Thanks, Sean Anderson, Development Operations Manager”
