Hiring new employees
August 25, 2023
The process used for recruiting employees is vital to your company’s success. You need to be sure that you have enough funds and work available to recruit for vacant or newly-created posts. You also need to choose individuals with a high standard of work ethic and a positive attitude.
Once you hire a new employee, it's vital they receive training, support and guidance to ensure they meet your expectations and you meet theirs.
As a SNIPEF Member, one of the employment issues that we can offer you support and guidance on is recruitment. We offer advice on the full recruitment process, from start to finish, including:
- Job descriptions
- Person specifications
- Advertising your job vacancy (you can do that on SNIPEF job board here)
- Shortlisting and interviewing
- Offer of employment
- Informing unsuccessful candidates
- Checking credentials
- Creating induction programmes
- Probationary reviews
