Funding Support for Hiring a Redundant Apprentice

At SNIPEF Training Services Ltd (STS), we’re committed to supporting apprentices affected by redundancy and helping employers continue developing the next generation of skilled plumbing and heating professionals.

If you employ a redundant apprentice and support them through to the completion of their Modern Apprenticeship, you may be eligible for our Redundant Apprentice Contribution Funding.

What Funding Is Available?

Employers may be eligible to receive one of the following grant amounts based on the apprentice’s stage at the time of employment:

The grant is paid on successful completion of the apprenticeship and issue of the SNIJIB Completion Certificate. Please note there is no funding available for apprentices in their 4^th year.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this contribution, the employer must:

• Employ the redundant apprentice on a PAYE basis and issue a contract of employment.
• Support the apprentice to complete their full 4-year Modern Apprenticeship.
• Submit the required documentation including:
  • Redundant Apprentice Contribution Application Form.
  • SNIJIB Training and Registration Agreement.
  • New Apprentice Start Form.
  • Redundancy letter from the previous employer (on headed paper).
  • P45 for the apprentice.
  • SNIJIB Completion Certificate (after 4 years)

Please note: Funding is limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
