March 24, 2026
The Glasgow and West of Scotland Plumbing Employers’ Association Annual Charity Ball returned on 21 March, bringing together nearly 400 professionals for an evening of networking, celebration and fundraising. More than £15,000 was raised in support of Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS), high

On the night, more than £15,000 was raised in support of Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS), adding to the more than £29,000 raised over the years in support of the charity’s vital work.
Reflecting on the success of the evening, Association President Alex Waldron said: “After several years without this event, it was incredibly important to bring everyone back together. The turnout speaks volumes about the strength of our profession, but more importantly, about its willingness to support others. The funds raised for CHAS will make a real difference to families across Scotland, and that is something everyone in the room should be proud of.
“I would also like to thank everyone within the Association who contributed to organising the evening. Events like this simply do not happen without that commitment and effort.”
CHAS supports families across Scotland whose children have life-shortening conditions, providing care and support when it is needed most. The funds raised on the night will help ensure that this vital work continues.
The Glasgow and West of Scotland Plumbing Employers’ Association extends its sincere thanks to UK Plumbing Supplies (owners of Graham, Plumbase and Plumbstore), SNIPEF, ADEY, The Plumbers M8, The Gas Certification Company, and all those who generously contributed auction prizes, whose support made the evening possible.
