Consultation on Downstream Domestic Gas Installation and Maintenance NOS

October 4, 2021

Energy & Utility Skills invites employers, training providers and professional bodies to be involved in a consultation on revised National Occupational Standards (NOS) for anyone working in Downstream Domestic Gas Installation and Maintenance OR Emergency First Response.

National Occupational Standards (NOS) simply describe what an employee needs to do and needs to know to perform a work activity. They are subject to formal consultation and approval processes and are approved by UK government regulators.

With support from across the industry, Energy & Utility Skills has reviewed and revised the suite of NOS for Downstream Domestic Gas Installation and Maintenance and Emergency First Response to ensure they reflect current working practice, and technological changes within the industry, including the moves to alternative fuel sources.

Get Involved:

An online consultation to review and provide feedback on the revised draft NOS will be open until 5pm Friday 8th October 2021, click here to review and submit your feedback.

You can spend as much or as little time as you like on this by commenting on any, or all of the Standards that are of interest to you. All feedback is welcomed.

Our Standards and Qualification Review Privacy Notice sets out how Energy & Utility Skills uses and protects any information you give us as part of the Consultation.
