October 4, 2021
Energy & Utility Skills invites employers, training providers and professional bodies to be involved in a consultation on revised National Occupational Standards (NOS) for anyone working in Downstream Domestic Gas Installation and Maintenance OR Emergency First Response.
National Occupational Standards (NOS) simply describe what an employee needs to do and needs to know to perform a work activity. They are subject to formal consultation and approval processes and are approved by UK government regulators.
With support from across the industry, Energy & Utility Skills has reviewed and revised the suite of NOS for Downstream Domestic Gas Installation and Maintenance and Emergency First Response to ensure they reflect current working practice, and technological changes within the industry, including the moves to alternative fuel sources.
